Caitlin Clark Wnba Draft 2023

Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese Ineligible for 2023 WNBA Draft

Talented College Stars Sit Out Draft

The 2023 WNBA Draft will be missing two of the biggest stars of the 2022-23 college basketball season: Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese. Clark, a junior at Iowa, is on the verge of becoming the all-time NCAA scoring leader. Reese, a sophomore at LSU, is one of the most dominant post players in the country.

Eligibility Requirements

The WNBA Draft is open to players who are at least 22 years old and have completed their college eligibility. Clark and Reese are both 21 years old and have one year of college eligibility remaining. Therefore, they are not eligible for the 2023 Draft.

Future Prospects

Clark and Reese are both expected to be top picks in the 2024 WNBA Draft. Clark has already led Iowa to two Big Ten Championships and an Elite Eight appearance. Reese helped LSU reach the Final Four in 2023. Both players are expected to continue to excel in college and make an immediate impact in the WNBA.
